Daniel Unlocked #15

Icebergs can appear to flow in different directions. Small ones can flow in one direction while their massive counterparts flow in another. What is actually happening is that surface winds drive the little ones, whereas the huge masses of ice are carried along by deep ocean currents. When we consider the rise and fall of nations throughout history, it is the same. The winds represent everything changeable and unpredictable, just like human will. But operating simultaneously with these winds and gales is another force, even more powerful and similar to ocean currents. The prophecy of Daniel 2 will show us that this world is not a ship with out a captain being blown by human whim, but that its course is under control and history is moving to its grand finale.

When I was dabbling in Eastern religions during my latter teenage years, I finally had to come to the conclusions that there was no proof in the Hindu, Buddhist or the Islamic scriptures to which we can apply the principles of probability or certainty, as we can for the existence of the Hebrew God. Of all the writings of the major world religions, it is only the Old and New Testament Scriptures that lay down the ultimate challenge, the ultimate test, in the form of predictive prophecy, which can be analysed by probability. Therefore, if the Old and New Testaments scriptures not only lay down the challenge but provide us with evidence to substantiate the claim, then we can have certainty and personal assurance for the future as we trust in the God of the Bible.

God gives you an invitation in Psalm 34:8, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” He also gave us a challenge when He said, “Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.” Isaiah 46:10 NLT. Over the next week or so I will show you how only The God of Israel and Christianity passes the test.

Let me share with you one of the miracles of ancient prophetic history.
